Why this is annoying without us
- The airline wants you to install their app. That “add to wallet” button lives inside the app, not on the page you just checked in from. Google supports those buttons on websites and in email — airlines simply don't add one.
- Doing it by hand takes two screens. Show the QR on your laptop, scan it with your phone, then type the rest in yourself.
- And what you get is incomplete. The barcode follows the IATA standard: it carries your name, flight, date and seat, but not your boarding zone, boarding time or gate. Those are printed text only, so a scan loses them.
Upload the airline's PDF or a screenshot and you get a proper Google Wallet pass with every field, in seconds.
