Why can't I add my boarding pass to Google Wallet?

Usually one of three reasons. The airline put the Add to Google Wallet button inside their own app, so checking in on a laptop or by e-mail never shows it. Or you have the pass as a PDF or a printout and Google Wallet has no Add from PDF option. Or the scan worked but produced a pass with almost nothing on it. Uploading the file here solves all three: you get a real boarding-pass-type Wallet pass built from both the barcode and the printed text.

How do I add a PDF boarding pass to Google Wallet?

Google Wallet cannot open a PDF directly. Upload the PDF here instead. We read the barcode and the printed fields, then hand you a save link that adds a proper flight pass to Google Wallet in one tap. It works the same way with a screenshot or a photo of a paper pass, as long as the barcode is in focus.

Why does the pass I scanned myself have no boarding zone, gate or boarding time?

Because those fields were never inside the barcode. Airline barcodes follow the IATA BCBP standard, which carries your name, booking reference, flight, date, seat and cabin, but not the boarding zone, gate or boarding time. Those are printed as text on the pass only. No barcode scanner can recover them, which is why a self-scanned pass looks so empty. We read the printed text too, so those fields come across.

Does this work on Samsung and other non-Pixel Android phones?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The result is a normal Google Wallet save link, so any Android phone with Google Wallet installed can open it. Nothing is installed and nothing is signed up for.

Will the converted pass still scan at the gate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your original barcode is copied byte-for-byte, including the airline's digital signature, so a gate reader sees exactly the same data as on the airline's own pass. Keep the original as backup, because the converted pass is a static copy and will not update if the airline moves your gate.

My PDF has more than one boarding pass in it. What do I pay?

100 sats for each pass we produce, not for each file you upload. Airlines often put several in one PDF: one per passenger if you checked a family in together, and one per leg if your trip has a connection, so a single traveller flying with one stopover has two boarding passes and pays 200. You always see the count and the total before paying. Upload the file, we read it for free, and the page tells you something like 2 passes, 200 sats before any invoice appears. Files we cannot add anything to are shown as not charged.

What if my airline never gives me a file at all?

A few airlines now deliver the boarding pass only inside their own app, with no PDF and no printable copy. Ryanair is the clearest example since November 2025. If you have no file and no printout, there is nothing to upload and this will not help you. Everyone who can save, print, screenshot or e-mail a pass is covered.
